During the early 1990s Renfrew TVEI organised a number of inservice courses for teachers who were interested in teaching the Film Module or the media Option within the Higher English examination. As part of the courses staff in the then Renfrew, Glasgow and Argyll and Bute Divisions of Strathclyde were themselves presented for the Film Module. The following essays were submitted as evidence of achieving Learning Outcome Four - Narrative, Genre, Representation - and were subsequently published as a reference book, "Film Footage".
