Click on a shot on the timeline which you wish to affect. (Only shots on the timeline can be affected.) Then select the effect you want by clicking on it. Click on the Preview button to view the effect in the large viewing screen. If you're satisfied, make sure the playhead is positioned at the beginning of the shot to be affected and click on the Apply button.   |

The effect is immediately applied to the selected shot. (Wait until the red rendering line has disappeared before continuing.) |
