First period on a Monday morning
I am
the voice of Droopy asking “ Why does this happen?”
I am
“With or Without You” on a bus during an ice cold rain storm on a dreary day
I am
a cold bowl of tuna pasta while you sit on your bed wearing a grey cotton tracksuit
I am
the smell of moisture from the window pain during January
I am
your hand against your face while you sit on the window sill
I am
a grey world without light or happiness.
