St Maurice's High School: Amy Irvine

I am dark
Grey and cold, like a rock
Yet I comfort her
She cries seeking me out
Hand searching her neck
She finds me
Her thumb strokes my back

She unwinds my chain
Holding me in her palm
Passing me from finger to finger
My chain, one hundred little mirrors
Little faces, watching
I reflect her eyes
Green, a meadow of emerald grass

The letter on my face
The scar I wear
A symbol of love

I swing around her neck
Holding on tight
I fall onto her
I bounce about
Dancing until im dizzy
