The Eel

There you were swimming around
I could hear you splashing
A hook hung round your mouth
And pulled you out without a struggle
I could see you wiggling about
Trying to get free but unsuccessful
I picked up a rock and closed my eyes
I dropped it from my hands
And I looked down and you were still
I could feel my eyes welling up
I had never done anything like it before
I thought I would feel like I had power over you
But the truth is, you had power over me
You made me feel like a criminal
Although in a way I am
I lifted you up into my hands
You felt slimy but yet smooth too
Same as you would taste
Although you deserve some respect
We put you in a carrier bag
And then we made our journey home
